Eikund

     We collect stories.

         Pieces of forgotten history.

              Pieced together once again.

A true treasure hunt

Eikund was established the spring of 2016, and since then we have managed to gather the best of Norwegian furniture design from the 1950s and 60s under one brand.

This is a result of a treasure hunt that gives old icons from the Norwegian design legacy new life. Our collection of Norwegian mid-century design features iconic works by renowned masters such as Fredrik A. Kayser, Torbjørn Afdal, Sigurd Resell, Sven Ivar Dysthe, Torbjørn Bekken and Arne Tjomsland.

Aesthetics

Quality requirements for high-end furniture makes us both sustainable and viable; we would rather produce furniture designed to last, rather than something short lived and part of a planned obsolescence society. Every single product from us is Nordic modernism at its best!

At Eikund, we have high ambitions. To ensure that we deliver only the best products and the best customer service, high quality is our core value, and it underlies everything we do. As a company, we want our actions to have as little impact on the environment as possible. This is well illustrated in our design and material use.

The Eikund way

As a Norwegian company Eikund is surrounded by magnificent nature in all directions. What we see every day is never taken for granted, it inspires us to always improve and do better. Sustainability plays a key role in all our processes, whether it concerns material sourcing, manufacturing solutions, quality control or logistics. These are the five promises we always hold ourselves accountable to.

Natural Materials

Natural resources are inherently more eco-friendly than artificial counterparts. We are proud to say that our furniture range has its key building blocks made of natural components.

We use sustainably sourced wood with a clear traceability, leather and textile that has several different certificates stating its natural processes.

The respect for natural materials is the beating heart of Eikund.

Having focus on this is the most ethical and responsible way to improve on the environmental problems we face today. The reason why natural materials sometimes come at a higher price is that the quality of natural materials tends to be much better. In terms of quality, this usually translates into increased longevity.
